OUR HISTORY

Founding and
early years

A group of partners with broad multidisciplinary experience founded Nextant in 2001 as a professional consulting services firm based in Houston.

Created a spin-off Cloud services company in 2009 (Avanxo).

Nextant’s mission was to provide world-class consulting services to American technology companies.

Strategic
focus

Nextant has invested in its people, processes, and solutions to support its growth.

Nextant recently decided to leverage its position with and relationships in Microsoft to grow its footprint broadly across the company.

Strong
growth

From a five-person firm based in Houston, Nextant has grown to 200 employees with a multinational scope.  Nextant has presence in Bellevue, WA, Fort Lauderdale, FL, Houston, TX and Bogota, Colombia.  It has experienced significant revenue, margin, and EBITDA growth over the last few years.

2001-2009

  • Nextant signed first contract with Compaq Computer corporation
  • Nextant diversified its project portfolio to include Microsoft, Apple, HP, Cisco, SUN Microsystems, Salesforce and Telefonica.
  • Opened branch in Bogota, Colombia
  • Opened Redmond, WA office
  • Spun off Salesforce.com practice to Avanxo

2010-2018

  • Won 100th project
  • Prioritized Microsoft as strategic relationship
  • Won first multi-year managed services contract wit ha Fortune 10 company

2019-2024

  • Won 2019, 2021 and 2024 Microsoft Supplier Excellence Awards.
  • Reached 100 employee milestone in 2020
  • Attained first Great Place to Work Certification in 2023 and maintained it current up until today.
  • Reached 200th employee milestone in 2023.
  • Established experts in delivering AI Solutions to clients in 2024.
