Client's was weighing a series of options and strategies for growing organically, obtaining strategic investment from third parties, and/or selling certain of its assets. Client had three distinct lines of business and had not developed an analytical framework with which to assess the various options. Specifically, it needed assistance in developing scenarios, filtering and prioritizing them, and creating a business plan and strategy for those it wished to pursue.

STRATEGY:
Nextant performed an extensive analysis of client’s existing structure and presented a comprehensive overview of its current strategic direction, including potential issues relating to certain assets.  Nextant developed a series of prioritized scenarios for each of the business lines along with recommendations for discussion and selection.  Finally, Nextant developed a high level action plan for the selected scenarios, recommendations on how to proceed, and key success factors for their implementation.

RESULTS:
As a result of the project the Client was able to differentiate and develop unique strategies tailored for its different lines of business.  This differentiation allowed the client to better manage its different businesses and pursue different growth strategies for each.  Following Nextant’s implementation plan, the company has become more efficient as each business tracks the respective plans that were developed.
